Maths is love.

Thu Dec 15

I’ve had quite a strange day and thought it would be good to document it. I went in to Paris around five hours ago to try and do some Christmas shopping for some people and found that the shop (Called Shakespeare and Company) was shut because the owner had died. I then wandered around for a long while looking for somewhere to buy a beret for a friend of mine’s birthday and got one before heading to a book/record/CD shop where I managed to spend 22.90 somehow on a really weird range of things. On top of this I think I fell in love with a girl who I bumped in to who turned and grinned at me.

I then headed on back to a metro where everything smelt of burning plastic (a woman near me said that there was a fire nearby or something) and, during a change to another line, got lost and ran into a 15-piece string section who were busking and stopped and listened for a while which was very lovely.  I then decided to get off and cycle because the train was far too cramped only to get on a bike with a flat tyre (and not realise) and spend a long time riding very bumpily/pushing a very broken bike through the area around Charenton trying to findd a Velib station. I found one and staggered home from there and then I think I fell in love with the woman behind the desk at the reception in my appartment building (though this has been a longer process than the other falling in love).

Now I’m going to go and buy a courgette.

Sorry for clogging up your dashboard.
